Both meetings have beaten the weather and we start at Lingfield with Paphos who looks to beat Monday’s winner, Red Somerset.

The key angle for me in this race is their recent winning times, obviously! Red Somerset ran in a slow contest which turned in to a sprint and he finished 7 secs slower than the course standard. His 7L winning margin may have been visually impressive but the clock not so complimentary.
The race at Wolves was also weaker than the race that Paphos won here last week, in a fast time which was only 0.23s above standard. That was over 7f but I don’t see the step up to the mile being a problem for a horse who has good tactical speed and can make the running if need be. He was only beaten by the smallest of…
