A better day yesterday as the trainer in form selection – News Desk won @ 9/2. Made up for another set of average selections from the other races!
I mulled over a few for the system Nap today. Not least Crystal Prince at Leicester for Charlie Longsdon who has a 50% strike rate in the last week or the Brennan/George partnership also at Leicester. Gone for the all-conquering Fanning & Johnston team at Kempton though.
2.30 Crystal Prince
3.35 Hes Our Lad
4.35 Brackloon High
3.45 Red Jade
3.05 Stephanie Kate
Away from the world of my dodgy selections wanted to draw attention to a few other horse related things about ..
- Pigeon Scoop – Competition on Twitter run by @pigeonisland it’s worth playing has a nice format and plenty of entrants. You can see more on the associated site http://pigeonscoop4.wordpress.com
- Wayward Lad – Iain at the Wayward Lad blog has produced a 16 page – 9,000 Cheltenham guide. All it costs is a fiver and having just flicked through it this morning it will be worth it, with each’s race profiled to help you select horses for the Festival. I won’t go into any more detail but as I say it’s a helpful guide. http://waywardlad.blogspot.com/
- The Irish Boys – I’ve been reading about these chaps on Playing It Safe’s blog for a while and decided to finally take the plunge and try out the tips. Now I’m usually sceptical about paying for tips but having seen the results on the afore mentioned blog and seeing the Irish Boys have a trial taking you up to the end of Punchestown Festival in April – for only £17 – I thought why on earth not. My knowledge of Irish racing is abysmal so anything these guys produce then all the better. To sign up to the trial or view the website – here you go http://tipsfromireland.com/
