That will be my best bet of the day today as the kids have their Sports Day. I’m reliably informed by my youngest that she has been winning the skipping races in practice and has a good chance in the sprint, she’s not all too confident about the obstacle race but I’d be over the moon with one win. I don’t think I ever won a race at any Sports Day ever – no real surprise mind! Neither of my two are running the egg and spoon race this year though which is unfortunate as it’s the funniest race going as one kid normally finds some gum from somewhere and others continue to drop the old egg down the course. Should be a good day though and the sun is currently out which makes things all the more pleasant.
No personal bets today but a quick plug to a few services/sites I follow which you know all about. Bet Buddy has just returned a 125pts profit for June, impressive stuff in anyone’s book. James had a tricky start to the flat but as I expected he has hit some wonderful form throughout June, let’s hope it continues through July. The other service which continues to go from strength to strength is Formbet every day lately it seems to be firing in big price winners and the value based element of the service is really useful. Arabian Star at 28s was the pick yesterday .. I know people begrudge paying out a monthly fee for a service but really for £30 the spreadsheet is more valuable than a racing post and the subs are normally paid within a few days of the month. It also helps you identify horses you may like to back without following all the bets selected by Dave who uses automated betting.
System bets today below – few other things worth noting Mick Channon is in blinding form and would have qualified yesterday if any of his runners were in class 4 and 5 handicaps, alas they weren’t but still the stable is red hot, he sends out six runners today. Roger Charlton likewise remains in excellent form and Goldtrek would have been a qualifier yesterday bar Charlton’s previous record at Epsom, he sends one out today at Doncaster in Zero Money it’s not a selection as it’s a class 3 race but worth keeping an eye on all the same. Another stable starting to hit some form is the Saeed Bin Suroor yard with a 30% strike rate in the past 7 days.
