I know my system does … 12 selections this month so far and 12 losers, dreadful stuff. Having run the stats since March when I begun testing though it’s still well in profit thanks mainly to a few nice priced winners during March and April. The strike rate though has been really depressing throughout May, one can only hope things pick up. It’s been a tough May for a number of other services reading a few other blogs so perhaps it’s just that time of year – I for one will be glad to see the back of it. Going to stick with it and hope we ride out the storm, worth noting if Kitty Wells had won like she probably should have done the other night at 8/1 then things would be much rosier.
Libranno ran okay yesterday but ultimately he was outclassed by Bated Breath who looked a cut above his rivals. The Hannon yard hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders and with Catlin on board it probably wasn’t the wisest win only bet I’ll ever make, still way it goes. Will update stats shortly for the month. May is now running at a loss thanks to my ill advised punt on Master Of Hounds and the remainder of the weekend’s performance. Still nicely in profit but certainly going to spend more time researching bets and be a little bit more careful with the staking 6pts on a non runner can only be described as foolish!
Nothing whatsoever interests me with regards to Tuesday’s racing and tomorrow’s looks just as average. At least on Thursday Sandown’s card looks decent and I’ll focus on that this week. Will also try and have a look at the Oaks. It’s possible I’ll revisit the Derby also but having already backed Nathaniel and another horse via a Formbet trend pick I think I’ll just wait until the day now for fear of wasting any more money ante post. I though won’t be lumping onto Carlton House especially not at the 11/8 he’s currently priced up at, will probably consider laying him on the day.
No system bets today. Which means no losers today.
