A much better Sunday as Misty For Me saved some of the bacon lost over the past few days, she was the trends pick identified for Formbet and she did us a treat coming home in front, I also had a saver on the next best on trends and Formbet top rated Together but unfortunately didn’t bother with the forecast. Incidentally the third best on trends was Laughing Lashes something to be said for looking at past events and using them to your advantage.
Few systems bets today and a personal bet, see if I can claw back some of Saturday’s dreadful losses.
7.40 Windsor – The way to play this one may be each way with Bated Breath a short price favourite. I’m though going to stick with my recent win only method and plump for Richard Hannon’s Libranno. A progressive colt last year he was rated as high as 113 after winning the Richmond Stakes, he was then sent off favourite for the Prix Morny where he was beaten 3l by Dream Ahead. This season he’s attempted twice to give lumps of weight to rivals, firstly to Native Khan over a distance that stretched him in the Craven and then to a host of useful sprinters at Ascot, in most cases he gave 12lb to the fillies there of the same age, that race was run in a record time and although Aneedah and Margot Did have both been beaten, the winner Perfect Tribute has since won again. In this race Libranno races off 8lb 5 and gets weight from all his rivals, he’s the joint highest in here and at 8/1 I think he’s worth a small wager. Not overly keen on Chris Catlin, not got a great record riding for Hannon or at Windsor but them the risks.
