Another quick couple of punts for tomorrow, been eyeing up those cards – firstly the Triumph. Having backed Zarkander straight after the Adonis at 14/1 – I feel delighted he’s now 6s and Kumbeshwar has franked that form, I do think he’s got a great chance of going off favourite albeit a bit gutted Ruby Walsh picked Sam Winner ahead. It’s possible I’ll back him again tomorrow as win only. The other one I want to back though at a bigger price is the second home in the Adonis, Molotof he’s currently available at 20/1 with a few firms and that looks quite big considering he was only 2 lengths behind Zarkandar, he’s rated 5 lb better than the likes of Third Intention and double the price. He’s also a bigger price than Brampour and that horse has been beaten by Kazzene who finished tailed off in the Adonis and only beat the 117 rated Clowance House by 13 lengths, Clowance House was given Brampour 10lb in weight. So I think 20/1 each way over Molotof is too big and he’ll be nearer single figures on the day.
The other race I’ve looked at is the Albert Bartlett, now I respect Bobs Worth a lot here but can’t back him at 3/1 even if I think he’s the best animal and has course and distance form, wish I’d backed him earlier in the week now. Anyways the one I like here is Kilcrea Kim at a current 9/1 price. Horse fits a number of recent trends and his recent win in a hot handicap at Sandown shows he can mix it with proven handicappers, several have franked that form and the second may also today in Alfie Spinner hence why I want to back Kilcrea Kim today, the pair finished well clear that day. Bobs Worth’s form stands up see Rock Of Ruby yesterday but I just think Kilcrea Kim at a bigger price offers more value. The only other I was looking at was Mossley and I may revisit him tomorrow if I can ignore his last run.
- Triumph Hurdle – 1pt e/w Molotof @ 20/1
- Albert Bartlett – 1pt e/w Kilcrea Kim @ 9/1
